Dr. Cathy Mwangi, PhD
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Cathy Mwangi is a senior health business and public health executive experienced in providing business and technology solutions for organizations in the United States and Kenya, with over 17 years’ experience in business management, health care management and public health.
Cathy has worked at the University of Maryland Medical Systems, Maryland; Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC; Computer Career Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland; NextGen Health Systems, Maryland; Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi; and Strathmore Business School in Nairobi, Kenya.
She was the Country Director for CDC Foundation mHealth Kenya between 2011 to 2015. Cathy has led and managed several implementation projects and initiated academic programs. She is an expert in some health systems including McKesson Health Systems, Azzyxi Health System, IDX Systems and NextGen Health Systems. In her current position at mHealth Kenya, she is managing national mobile application projects funded through a cooperative agreement with CDC by the President’s Emergency Program Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Some of the projects are: Mobile Commodity Tracking; Early Infant Diagnosis Results Reporting Using SMS Printers; SMS Application for Health Care Workers to Report Injuries and Track PEP Uptake; and Chairing a Technical Working Group on the development of a National Unique Persons Identifier in Kenya.
Cathy has a Masters in Business Administration and PhD in Health Administration from the USA.

Finance & Administration Officer
Mr. Kenneth Nyagiloh is an accountant by training with an extensive post qualification experience in financial and strategic planning, auditing and compliance, budget development and management, and cash flow management and planning. He has over 10 years’ experience in management of donor funded projects.
Kenneth has worked at the Panell Kerr Forster (PKF), Certified Public Accountants, Kisumu, Kenya; Metro Cash & Carry (Kenya) Limited, Nairobi; World Vision Kenya, Nairobi; Eastern Central and Southern African Federation of Accountants (ECSAFA) Secretariat, Nairobi, Kenya; and International Labour Organization (ILO), Nairobi, Kenya.
He was the Finance and Administration Officer for CDC Foundation mHealth Kenya between 2011 to 2015. In his current position at mHealth Kenya, a partner with CDC Foundation, he is charged with the responsibility of managing the financial aspects of all the national mobile application projects funded through a cooperative agreement between CDC Kenya and CDC Foundation by the President’s Emergency Program Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
Kenneth has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Maseno University, Kenya and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPAK) and Certified Securities and Investment Analyst (CSIA)
