Project Overview
The USHAURI system was developed as a multifaceted digital solution to address critical challenges in HIV care continuity. Combining automated appointment reminders with advanced defaulter tracing capabilities, the platform has transformed patient engagement across hundreds of healthcare facilities.
Project Scope
Our implementation included: 1) Automated SMS appointment reminders, 2) Defaulter tracing module, 3) Clinic workflow integration tools, 4) EMR interoperability layer, 5) Laboratory results transmission, and 6) Comprehensive data analytics. The system was deployed across 32 counties serving 673 healthcare sites.
Key Outcomes
- Achieved remarkable patient retention rate in supported facilities
- Managed over 1.9 million clinical appointments through the system
- Successfully traced and returned of defaulters to care
